I never seen this move but on a episode of Married With Children "Dial B for Virgin" season 9 episode 7. There was a scene when Al and Peggy walk into a video store and there was a poster that had Ed O'Neill's face covered. Was this movie considered bad? I never seem it, but the gag was hilarious!

I don't know if the movie was considered bad upon release, but it flopped at the box office and due to it's July release, it's clear that the producers had little to no faith in it. Married With Children made fun of it quite a bit as an inside joke because of Ed O'Neil's involvement.

I remember that episode on "MWC" where Peg & Al pick up the movie, and even though its free, they still throw it back lol!
It made me wonder if even Ed O'Neill hated the film?

The film didn't have a chance standing up against Terminator 2: Judgement Day back then. I saw Dutch in the theater and while it was a fun movie, the real excitement was in the next two auditoriums showing T2.
I've always thought Dutch would've done better if had a thanksgiving release instead of the summer as it was already crowded.
I don't know why anyone would put a clearly Thanksgiving movie during the summer.
