Is this for kids or..?

I tried showing this to my young cousins because it seemed childish, perhaps I should have done more research..
They said *beep* at the beginning, which was a little weird but we kept watching. I had to turn it off for the language and the rudeness of Fred.
So is it geared for adults or children? The movies too silly for adults but the contents not suitable for children.. I just don't get it

I'd say drop dead fred Is a kids/family movie and there was swearing and more adult themes in alot of 80s/90s kids/family films like The goonies, monster squad, Big, Back to the future, Adventures in babysitting etc I don't think it was such a big deal back then

Absolutely great for the entire family, PISS OFF!

Yeah, a lot of the movies back then had lots of sexual innuendo or profanity and they were geared towards kids. lol

In all honesty, it's no worse than the SpongeBob movie. While SB doesn't contain any direct swearing, it does push forward a lot of adult jokes which are set up so that some kids may very well understand.

Personally, I often saw DDF as a childrens film (with a strong nostalgic feel as an adult). However, in the film, Freds mischief is often frowned upon and punished (not just from the mother) so there IS a small lesson in the fact that no, Fred cannot get away with everything.

Also, kids love the pasta scene

I watched it as a kid and loved it. Watched it again recently and still love it. This movie is great.

I grew up watching DDF since about the age of five, and I grew up fine. :)

No one can asnwer that, because the makers clearly didn't make up their minds about that. They tried to appeal to every age, but they mixed the wrong elements.

It is quite childish, jokes about dog poo and the like.

My sister and I used to watch it as young children. It was funny then, and I don't think it's unsuitable for kids now that I am an adult. Thee's nothing in the film kids don't hear in the playground.
