Just wondering could this premise ever work if it was remade?

It would be super difficult now--with everything instantly verified. It was much easier to forge your age back then--especially if you were a smooth talker

Now Sue ellen could look up GAW and see what they do where to go to drop off the resume---there would be no excuse for the mixup. Rose therefore would not be nearly as nice.

I could see Disney Channel doing some awful tv remake of it like they did with Adventures in Babysitting.

Or like with the really current version of Annie--where she is 'hip'. Sue Ellen somehow figured out she had to go in the office in a business suit. Where on earth did she get the wardrobe of power suits??

Or how they turned a semi-serious film like "Pump Up the Volume" into a braindead teen film like "Rebel Radio" and have the audacity to call it a Disney original.
