nOT sure why this is so well regarded.
It's not better than The Little Mermaid or other films.
shareIt's not better than The Little Mermaid or other films.
shareThe Little Mermaid is great, but this movie is better. The animation, the script, the characters, the music and the songs.
shareUh, because it's gorgeous, romantic, funny, heartbreaking, and has a truly excellent score?
If it's not your cup of tea it's not, but it's a beautifully made film and a lot of people find it incredibly effective on both artistic and emotional levels.
Actually, it is better than The Little Mermaid or other films
So yeah that's why it's so well regarded
It's a better movie than the Jean Cocteau version. Lovelier, more affecting, weirder, funnier, with a better Beast, and an exquisite score.
What's weird about the movie?
shareYou think tablewear staging elaborate musical numbers is normal?
shareOf course not. I just didn't think of it that way.
shareNobody does, in Disney movies. Somehow they manage to put elephants that fly by flapping their ears and fish staging undersea musical numbers, and convince everyone that it's all normal harmless family fun and not totally weird!
I suppose it's a sort of genius.
I like the fact that Belle reads, and both her father and the shopkeeper (non family member) encourage her. She is not deterred even though she is the only person in her village like that.
Don't really like the whole remaining in a tower/castle thing....and gradually falling in love with him over time. But she did volunteer to stay with him proactively she was not kidnapped. She did go to the castle.
And you could you please tell us why?
