The Coens have done their fair amount of great films like TBL, and IMO Barton Fink is one of them.
Fargo and No Country For Old Men are in this category too.
Then they've made weaker films, and even a couple of turkeys, that's what I presumably think you're referring to when you say you don't like their films. Ladykillers and Raising Arizona, even O Brother I think are average movies.
But Barton Fink stands out as one of their major creations. Visually it has this David Lynch quality, with the old hotel rooms and corridors, and it's about the behaviour of some Jewish magnates during WW2, only thinking of their biggest profits while Nazism was exterminating their European brethren by millions. And Fink himself is so disconnected to reality - the "common man" (Charlie/Goodman) who in 1941 USA hadn't yet chosen sides between democracy and fascism - that he himself becomes ridiculously tragic.

You guys are rediculous. Everything the Coens make is gold. This movie deserves to be watched. Definitely a hidden gem on Netflix

Barton Fink is the Coen Brothers best movie. It's better than Lebowski, so, logically, if you liked Lebowski then you should like Fink even more.

You probably never bothered to watch Barton Fink. If you did, you probably hated it. And you're probably dead now anyway.
