Why has this movie only got a rating of 6.7? It should have a much higher rating. Even though it has the horrendous actor Billy Baldwin in it, it still has awesome actors like Kurt Russell, Robert De Niro and Donald Sutherland. It should be at least 7.5/8.00.

I LOVE Kurt Russell movies with pretty much no exception and Donald Sutherland is incredible, (not much of a Dinero fan but I completely respect him for a few classic roles) but all in all, the movie wasn't really all that good. I gave it 6 and I'm feeling I'm way too generous. I'd honestly understand if it has 5.5 rating or lower.
Like I said, to each his own.

shareI agree OP. I was also shocked at how low the score was. It's always been one of my fav films and is by far the best Firefigher movie. I also had a great cast, great acting, decent story, colorful characters and amazing stunt work. Deserves at least an 8 out of 10.
shareEh, I think 6.7 is about right. I saw this in the theater when it first came out and I recall liking it (I was 13) and every time it's on TV I do watch it, even to this day. I still enjoy it but wow is it ever packed with cliches, over the top everything, over-acting, overdone musical score and soap opera style drama. And then there's the cherry on top: a cheeseball song during the credits which sounds like every other movie credit song from the late 80's and early 90's; as if the rest of it weren't enough, that song pushes it to the edge.
Not a bad film but it's just too much of everything bad to get an 8, 9 or 10 rating.

I actully haven't seen this for about 20 years. I really must watch it again. 6.7 does seem a little low, from what I remember. Maybe a bit of rose tinted spectacles.
