I get it. I used to love when I was younger but when I tried rewatching the whole series I skipped through so much. Tool Time, Wilson, and Al are always great, but Jill and the home drama brings it to a screeching halt. That whitewater rafting episode may be the most useless episode of tv ever.

I can understand that. Jill is annoying though. They put her and Tim as opposites to be funny. I could never date anyone like her who hates action and horror movies and insists on watching romance movies. I enjoy watching it a lot though.

I think Home Improvement should have been more like a parody of home improvement shows, basically Tool Time but for 22 minutes rather than seeing little snippets. It would have been hilarious to see stuff go wrong and lots of women in shorts and work boots.

The family dramas are so mediocre and have been done to death in other shows.

Yes. You are in the minority. Home Improvement is WAY better than Last Man Standing. One of the best sitcoms ever, actually. The problem with Last Man Standing is the politics are overdone. Drags Last Man Standing WAY down. Home Improvement didn't need or use politics to be funny.

I actually kinda felt that way about the show too. It was on tv when I was a kid, and I got bored watching it, though it did have a few funny moments.

It does get old after awhile, but there are many episodes that I can rewatch. The earlier seasons are the best. The boys, especially Brad and Randy, can be hilarious. I honestly think they carry some episodes and could’ve been used more in the early seasons.

I love the show. I like Jill most of the time. But yes, sometimes the motifs or tropes do get old, like when Tim has a problem with a female authority figure or screws up something important. On the other hand, many men and women can relate to that.

It's all a matter of opinion. Some people love it, some people hate it.

I'm one of the ones who hates this show. It's just a half hour Tim Allen grunting and saying stuff along the lines of "I like power tools because I'm a man, but my wife hates power tools because she's a woman." I swear, every freaking joke on that show is about how men love power tools and women don't. It got old really fast.

You are not alone. It's not better than last Man standing. Last Man standing is way better imo.
