Why a 7.1? Why such a low rating for such a great movie? Does anyone agree the rating should be much higher?

That's actually quite high for a horror film, and extremely high for this particular one.

I knooooowww this *beep* piece of *beep* site always gives the worst ratings!!! the crapiest of movies have more than 7 and movies that were actually good have a low rating...... I just sign to vote this movie and complain, I needed to get it out of my chest sorry
7.1 isn't low. This movie was a childhood favorite and I still enjoy it to today.
It has escalated to 7.2. It should be 8.2, but I digress.

Given the Dark Knight Rises has an 8.6 this film should be at least that. DKR has huge plot holes, a supposedly genius protagonist who struggles to out -think his opponents and yet somehow prevails whilst this film has a tightly written plot, smart characters being one-upped by smart worms and people who react how l expect l would react. l repeatedly hold it up as the perfect monster movie.
