The film's ending SPOILER was comically a book end.

Is it even remotely plausible that, like Charlie Sheen's character in the beginning, at the end, the rookie (female this time) cop new partner of his would be instructed to wait in a very similar fashion to how Eastwood did to Sheen at the beginning by being made to wait outside the door, that for some reason she will ALSO have her police badge upside down (like Sheen did at the start) and that she will also have some instructive slogan taped to her back similar to... You get the idea?

What are realistically the odds of such events being REPEATED in similar fashion? And do or even did some or even many American police officers in early 90s occasionally put their badges upside down and failed to notice?

The badges were not upside down, that was the joke to get them to check it. And Sheen was just breaking her in like he was broken in. Hazing.

I think if you think either of the badges were actually upside down then you definitely didn't get it.

OK but at the same time, the point of that ending was (and was the badge really 'not' upside down in the final scene?)?
