I asked my mom if I could buy the DVD at Best Buy. That was a better day. By the way, what supermarkets sell VHS tapes?
shareSo a supermarket chain called Wegmans in my city actually used to rent vhs tapes and video games in the 90s..they had a decent sized section in the store almost as a big as a blockbuster. And the supermarket I bought it from had VHS tapes for sale kinda like on impulse buy racks... usually the hot new releases that would for sure sell.
shareMost Giant supermarkets have a basement where VHS tapes like this are sold, if you've ever seen the film 8mm there are a few scenes where the characters are in one.
shareIn the USA, there is no age limit on getting into or renting/buying PG and PG-13 movies. I remember that my video store would allow you to rent R-rated (15 in my country which this is also rated here) titles if you had a note from your mom. 😄
