It looks like this list was taken directly from MY brain LOL

I'm going to avoid all the others I read in the comments already, I've seen most of them and agree.

I'll also avoid movies that were NOT underrated. Like The idiot in the comments who mentioned Terminator 2. That was NOT underrated. Everyone agreed that movie was groundbreaking in digital effects and paved the way for computer animation. It's in the top 50 movies on IMDb for Christ sakes. I guess Matrix was also underrated LOL what a pile of shit

"Waterworld" was generally disliked. I almost didn't like it myself. It got better with repeated viewings same as "last action hero"

Village of the damned
Universal soldier
Tank girl
Species
RocketMan (1997) hahahahaha

Pi not sure if it belongs here, it actually have a good rating, but I feel like not many people saw it?

Lost in Space (1998) IMSb 5.2? Really!?
Johnny Mnemonic

Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) 4.3?! Why all the hate? I really liked this one.

Hardware, guilty pleasure

Ghost in the machine, more cheese 🧀 LOL

Freejack, Mick Jagger as a villain!

Evolver, Okay, it deserved 5.6... Or less haha

Demolition Man, did someone say that already?

Early 2000's anybody?
Fortress 2
Supernova (I) (2000) James spader
Highlander: Endgame (2000)
Cube²: Hypercube (2002)
Rollerball (2002), 3.1 ouch!
Stay alive (2006) a Brainscan fan would love it so I had to mention it.

A few I don't see mentioned.
Some Japanese items I am fond of: Zeiram (1991), Zeiram 2 (1994). These are bags of fun with a pair of electricians getting involved with a beautiful but dangerous woman from outer space who is a bounty hunter in pursuit of an outrageously deadly space villain. Moon Over Tao (1997) Same director and another nifty film. This time it's a samurai film, with another alien horror come to Earth. Magic, strange interdimensional women and fountains of blood...
Nemesis (1992) Possibly Albert Pyun's second best film. (Which may be enough reason for you to skip it, but...) Oliver Gruner and Tim Thomerson in a sorta cyberpunk/martial arts film with Hong Kong style gun-fu, and some Terminator knock-off elements.
Spaced Invaders (1990) This is a rather fun and funny comedy (PG rated) about little alien dudes who accidently invade a small town on Halloween, when they hear a rebroadcast of the War of the Worlds radio show and think their fleet has already attacked Earth.
Delicatessen (1991) One of the funniest post apocalyptic films about cannibalism ever made. It is French. (If it were Belgian, there would be pig-fucking.)
