Hey nice to hear from you again.....
You know I thought of something else, lets go back to "Psycho".
You were right, Norman and his Mother are never SHOWN together. You don't see them together. However, I do recall a few scenes in which you HEAR them talking together. Remember? Norman has a conversation with his Mother, using his own voice for himself, and using a voice he created for his Mother. To me this is even more of a reason to think Norman and his Mother are not one and the same.
Ok, onto "Psycho 2".....
Yeah that's right, it turns out Mary is in on a game with her Mother (Marion's Sister). Then we find out she is kind hearted and wants to pull out. But initially, yeah, you have no idea she is in on it.
"I have to admit I was starting to get a bit suspicious about the first twist towards the end .... "
Ok, if I remember correctly, I could be wrong, but I believe Mary actually tells Norman what has really been going on. And actually, I think it was midway thru you see Mary and her Mother in the Motel. Her Mother (can't remember the characters name) is pushing her to continue, and Mary wants to stop.
But yeah, as you say , it is a twist.
"But the final twist I never suspected at all and was shocked!... to find out that Norman was actually adopted and then does the same thing all over again with her birth mother , was a great twist! "
Yep, with you 100%. His adopted Mother, she was an ancillary character - in the background. Seemingly a kindly old lady supportive of Norman - but yeah, certainly no indication of who she really was.
