Favorite psychedelic movies?

What are your favorite movies which are so incredibly odd and near-nightmarish, but so brilliant at the same time?
Some of mine are Being John Malkovich, One Point O (a marvelous underrated sci-fi piece), Primer and this.

Pink Floyd: The Wall was kinda crazy and weird, in a good way.

You remind me of a white crayon... totally useless.

Pi, a 1998 movie about a mathematician that goes nuts.
Very weird movie, I've loved it.

I forgot about that movie... It's marvelous!

Primer, Mullholand Dr. and Inland Empire are some of the names that I can remember.

Leave it to David Lynch to make some of the weirdest movies ever! 

As soon as I saw that poster, I immediately thought "I HAVE to see this movie!".

You, I like you.

I agree with all the titles and would like to add The Holy Mountain, 2001 A Space Odyssey and hmmmm...A Scanner Darkly. Got more on my list but it's been a long 48 hours and I can't count past three. :)

Ooooh. The Shining.

All of the replies in this thread are excellent titles.

Also virtually ANYTHING by Terry Gilliam. Brazil and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas of course -- but also Twelve Monkeys. All have you feeling at times that you are on a drug trip. And also in the end really get you THINKING.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

I've seen Dogtooth. I didn't quite understand it and thought it was okay. But it was really, really odd, that's for sure!

reply

Dogtooth is the best! Ever!

Bruce Bruce Bruce

Brilliant movie about censorship, parenting, nature vs nurture, and how most folks inadvertently fvck their kids up in one way or another.... we mold children to turn out as we want them to. Train them. Dogtooth takes it to the extreme, of course, but still. People only know what is taught to them; as to if it's the "right" stuff, who knows?

Thought provocation galore. Great film??
