uh oh remake

I'll be so angry if they remake this brilliant film!

Meh, don't worry about it. Even if they do make it, you don't have to go watch it.

If they remake it, I hope they at least try something different. Maybe they could have the action taking place in the War in Afghanistan or somewhere more recent than the Vietnam War. It would still be a pointless remake, but at least it would visually look different.

I could see the point of a remake if Jacob's Ladder were made in the 1940's with limited F/X resources for the more surreal scenes. In fact, the movie is barely 25 years old, the special effects are great, and remaking the movie with a new (and evidently inferior) cast will add absolutely nothing to it.

So I'm now chalking up yet another useless remake of that I won't bother watching.

It will probably be awful, but I think there’s room to retell this story as less metaphysical and with more emphasis on the experimental drug conspiracy.
