The bullies were so different in the 2017 version

In the miniseries, they act like typical bullies you'd see in a Nickeldeon cartoon from the 90s. In the 2010s version, they act very psychotic and less like generic bullies from an after-school special. Sure, they are still cruel, but they don't ingage in typical dailogue like you would hear generic bullies say to their victims (i.e. "Oh yeah, what are you gonna do about it, shrimp!?") Instead, they are more like deranged psychopaths obsessed with murdering someone and yelling at them, rather then spewing out mean-spirited intimidating dialogue. Also, the remake is set in 1989, bullies were STILL very over the top, like in films like The Karate Kid. If anything, the bullies in the 1990 miniseries act a lot more like they did in the 1986 novel, then the 2017 version.

I don't know. Henry Bowers looked like a psycho to me in the 90's version.
