Creepiest scene?
I think for me it's definitely when Beverley visits her old house with the old lady/Pennywise. *shudders* That face....

sharefor me the creepiest thing is Pennywise himself, his voice, his bloodied eyes, his sad lips. Terrific design, but as far as the scene, definitely the scene with Stan and the mummy
shareI can remember watching it the first time and getting freaked out by Pennywise at the gas station.
I recall thinking that Audra would be the key somehow to defeating It and thought great, this things going to come to a head soon. I was little disappointed that Audra is merely dropped in to get rescued.
However, when Pennywise just repeats "Don't you want it?!!", it just about pushed me over the edge.

when I watched it as a kid, it was definitely the sewer scene. That really traumatised me. Also the scene in the showers. Seeing it now, I think those are still really creepy and well done scenes, but the one that stands out as the most subtly creepy is the one near the end when Bill sees the piano being played with the music that was also played the day Georgie died, and isn't sure if what he saw was real or not. That's when he realised he could not live this way any longer.

Hello all! Great discussion! Many good choices, and all very creepy. I vote for a small scene where belch Huggins gets taken into the pipe. Dead eyes, off to be a meal, *shudder* I think in the book he goes in backwards and his back snaps, but creepy nonetheless!
shareI agree, I think Bev slowly realizing that Mrs Kirsch was Pennywise was genuinely scary and well done. The drain and the photo sequence were pretty creepy aswell.
shareYes, I put that up there with the storm drain scene and the scrap book scene.
sharethe sewer orgy..
oh sorry that didn't make it to the screen
thank goodness. . .
