Sequel to be released December 2021!

Variety has just announced Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and Macaulay Culkin will all reprise their roles in a brand new Home Alone sequel to be released December 2021. Sources close to the project say the plot will revolve around a 40 year old Kevin MacAllister visiting his aging mother (Catharine O'Hara, reprising her role) in a nursing home. Hijinx ensue when Kevin discovers this is the same nursing home that houses the Wet Bandits! This is the happiest news I've heard since COVID happened!

His mom isn’t old enough to be living in a nursing home. Harry is the only one old enough to believable be in a nursing home.

Well sure she is. A nursing home residency is based as much on need as age.

They can give her a stroke which causes her to have a speech impediment. That will give Catherine O'Hara an excuse to do wacky things with her voice for which she is famed. I always felt she was underused in Home Alone and its sequel.
