This was a good movie!

I too, watched this when I was younger. I don't remember how I found it (probably at Blockbuster) but I had my dad rent it and me and my little brother loved it!
Flash back years later, I'm talking about movies with my new friend (who is now my girlfriend) and we found out that we both saw this movie and loved it! This happened to be one of the first things we had in common. Amazing how something as simple as a movie can bring people together.

I quite like this movie too, always have despite the fact that many people say it's awful. It was an enjoyable family film.

"Why... so... serious?"

Bill Cosby never made an epic movie, and he didn't need to. Anyone who says this film is when his career started going downhill isn't very versed in what it means to achieve a legendary career. The Cosby Show was Cosby's SWAN SONG ... and it is only one of the most celebrated and important television shows of all time. Even if that show never existed, Cosby's career would have been one of the greatest in entertainment history. Most modern audiences can't appreciate this because it was mainly a recording career based on epic stand-up comedy albums. But, still, many fans from the era (and beyond) consider Cosby THE greatest stand-up comedian of all time.

Regarding Ghost Dad ... it wasn't made for a mainstream audience. It is a quirky, fun little movie that demands the audience suspend disbelief to a great degree. In layman's terms, it's a silly movie. So what? Cosby's star-power still shines through, and he made some people laugh their proverbial AO with this film. I, for one, celebrate it. If you believe this makes me dumb, then go ahead and count me with the morons ... just so long as it keeps me far, far away from you.

Anyhow, I loved it, and completely agree ... this WAS a good movie!

I remember seeing this when I was little, it was the worst, most boring movie I had ever seen. I would have rather have had to watch Beaches with my mom than see this. I didn't even know movies came this bad then.

I say was, but it still very well may be the worst film I've every seen.
