It’s all Kim‘s fault, she should’ve told the truth

When everyone thought Edward had tried to Rob Jim’s parents house she should have come clean and said that it was her Jim and her friends that tricked Edward into it, and that it was Jim’s idea, instead, she didn’t say a word, leaving everyone to think the worst of him including her parents. The awful events that followed Edward after that moment were mainly down to Kim and her pathetic friends, and she had plenty of opportunities to come clean and tell the truth i’m surprised Edd still love her after that, I would’ve shut her out.

*Spoilers*

I agree, I liked Kim, but I don't understand why she didn't tell her family the truth. It would've saved a lot of heartache.

It’s called she wasn’t perfect, she had flaws and that’s what makes her relatable. I mean would you do the same had you been in her position?

reply

If a character has to be horrible for you to relate to them, then perhaps you are the problem.

reply

She’s not completely horrible. She comes around and becomes a better person by the end. But not everyone always makes the right decisions, that’s what makes her relatable. Way to totally take what I said out of context.

reply

Yeah, she had flaws. Nobody's perfect, I bet she probably told her family the truth. The neighbors probably wouldn't believer her, but I bet her family did. I think they believed that he was innocent, too.

reply

Yes and the thing is most teenagers in that situation probably wouldn’t have said anything as well or at the very least would have thought twice about it. Also she was the one who tried to get Jim to go back and she was the only one who felt bad about it.

reply

The neighborhood probably wouldn't have believed her as he already had a bad reputation, considering that one lady who tried to take advantage of him falsely accused him of doing it. Not to mention, Jim was well liked in the neighborhood and didn't really know how much of a psycho he could be. It would be Kim's word against Jim's.
