Jesus Christ, the whole pink elephant prize scene at the carnival. Holy shit that was absolutely hysterical in every way! Just how absurd it is, the visual effects, him snapping the guys fingers and “take the fucking elephant!!!” Wow, I’ve never seen this movie before but I can’t stop laughing at how incredibly outrageous this whole scene was. 10/10 for this scene alone hahaha
shareThat's the beauty of Sam Raimi's direction. He's great at melding absurd, over-the-top cheesiness with the right dramatic subtext underlining it. That scene may have been silly, but it also works to underscore the overarching conflict of the film. The same could be said about the "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" montage in Spider-Man 2. If you sit down and watch the film in its entirety, you'll see what I'm talking about.

shareI have yet to see this movie, but I've seen that carnival scene on YouTube so many times, and it never gets old how insanely over-the-top it is. It is the FUNNIEST crap I have ever seen in a very long time next to the unintentionally hilarious scenes from the Wicker Man remake. I practically fall out of my chair bouncing with laughter. What makes it even funnier is that it's Liam Neeson, of all people!
