Why such a low rating?

I watched T&H over Xmas in the UK (I'd seen it as a kid) and thought I'd give it another chance. I LOVED it, there are several very funny moments. The slow motion Hooch run at Turner, Hooch wrecking the house and the scene in the car doing the stakeout.

Anybody who saw this years ago should give it another chance. I think I'm gonna buy the DVD (sadly there is no commentary on it).

The same reason people hate The Mist, a film I consider a modern classic:

The ending. A bad ending can spoil an entire film for some, and based on the reaction people seem to have to the tone-shifting ending, it ruined it for many. I personally find the ending very heroic and raw, and respect it for that.

Other than that, I don't know. Maybe they didn't like how they handled the dog or maybe the soundtrack or something. I do believe this deserves higher than a 6. A 7 should be minimum...
