Ok, am I the only person who watched this movie and had no idea they were planning to commit suicide? I only got the idea when they started flushing money down the toilet. That is actually a very powerful scene. Anyway, I was waiting the whole movie for them to go to Australia (I'm an Aussie living in Israel). This movie is *beep* if you're from Australia (Australia = death).
shareI didn't either. I watched knowing basically nothing about it because I'm a fan of the director. I'm glad I knew so little when I watched it, because everything was really shocking to me. Though I figured out pretty early that something was "off," I didn't have a clue what was going to happen.
shareI'm an Aussie and wasn't particularly offended by the Australia reference. When you see the tourism poster for Australia it looks very barren and other worldly, a metaphor I guess.
