There's an Italian film...kind of like Jeanne Dielman, but it's shorter lol...a man quits his job, goes home and finds an antique gun that used to be owned by a famous western gunslinger (can't even remember who it was)...anyone know what movie I'm talking about?? Can't say much without giving the movie away..it has almost NO dialogue, and you just sit there the entire movie wondering the motivation behind the main character's actions until the end of the movie! It was one of those films you hate until the awesome ending lol
share"Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles [Chantal Akerman]" contends to be the MOST BORING FILM OF ALL TIME. I do not have a weak attention span. For example, I thoroughly enjoyed all 16 hours of "Berlin Alexanderplatz". The problem is this film was made to induce sleep. It's well made and does have an exceptional performance, but the level of tedium is unbearable. You have been warned.

One film that I can recommend is Irreversible by Gaspar Noe. This film rivals The Seventh Continent in terms of absolute emotional devastation (at least, in my opinion it does). And I also second Noe's, I Stand Alone, in parallel terms of showcasing hopelessness and despair.
