Clark’s Mother, Diane Ladd, was 7 when Chevy Chase was born

im watching it now and thought “she really doesn’t look that old”. She was 53. Her white hair and clothing makes you think she’s old at first glance, but a visit to the salon and a new wardrobe and you’d see her as Clark’s older sister.

I've seen women in their 80s who looked as good as Ladd did when she was 53, but in any case, Ladd was a doll.

Not unheard of for actors who play parents of other actors to actually be much closer in age.
