What are your best and worst Christmas bonuses?
I've never seen such a thing...
sharethat my husband doesn't get one. They do bonuses in the spring. It would be much more helpful at Christmas.

My employer cut two paychecks this week! Double just because it's Christmas! Free week's pay!
shareWorked at a glass shop for a cheapskate owner.
He showed up on the jobsite one year at 3:30 Christmsa Eve with gift wrapped 2 cans of mixed nuts for each of us.
I had to work really hard to convince a co-worker that throwing the mixed nuts through the owners picture window at 3:00am would probably land him in jail!!
6 months later the cans of nuts were still rolling around the bed of Larrys truck.
I've worked for the same company for 13 years. Some years, we get a $300 bonus that goes through payroll, gets a 401k deduction, and taxed. I usually net about $185-$200. Most years, we get nothing. Christmas bonuses are a thing of the past for most larger corporations.
Meanwhile, the fat-cats at our corporate office get bonuses and stock options in the millions of dollars each year....on top of a 7 digit base salary.....
For example, the CEO of my employer has a 1 million base salary and his total bonuses and stock options from last year totaled 9 million. But, they couldn't afford to pay out a Christmas bonus.....

A sizable ham is the only thing I can ever remember getting. Oh look, we get another ham.....
shareThe best Christmas bonus (technically a year-end bonus) I received was $200. Those stopped after my second year with the company (eight years ago) and, outside a $10 Starbucks gift card, I haven't received a bonus since.
Also, I haven't received a raise in five years. Mind you, prior to that, I received a pay cut, then a restoration plus a small raise.
So yeah, I'm looking - and have been looking, ardently - for a new job.
A gift card from the same store where I worked - The owner got back his money & he made a profit with my gift card cos I had no other choice to spend it in his store...
shareThis one year I was sent to a strange underground chamber filled with bricks. Most of them contained coins that spilled out when I jumped into them, another contained a weird-looking, mobile mushroom that made me bigger when I ate it. The exit was an impractically huge pipe.
I can't make up my mind about whether it was the best, or the worst.
