I only liked the scenes with the asians...

They were both very interesting actors, and their onscreen relationship was something i'd never experieced before - there's something original about it. For me, they were the only reason I sat through the whole movie. Weak otherwise - should've been only about them. Although seeing Joe Strummer try to act was amusing and Screamin' Jay Hawkins was funny.

That girl was adorable.

I preferred their scenes as well.

yes she was and I felt that her boyfriend never saw that. she was a cute, sweet girl

i disagree with mc7791 above. i got the impression that he was crazy about her.

reply

really? I got the impression that he liked her but I dont know if he was crazy about her. If he was truly crazy about her why didnt he hold her after they climaxed during sex? also that question about hair he asked her was weird and the way he woke her up was annoying.

despite being a big Carl Perkins fan I think he only came to Memphis to make her happy and that he would do anything for her.

being grumpy may be one of the things she likes about him (the reason for the lipstick scene).

The japanese girl was amazing (and pretty as well). I wonder what else she could do with her bare feet
I also liked the hotel clerks and Steve Buscemi is always fun to watch

The first of the 3 parts of the movie, "Far from Yokohama" was my favorite of the 3. Youki Kudoh, who played the Japanese girl (Mitzuko), was just so cute you couldn't help but like her. Her upbeat personality, enthusiasm and eagerness to please everyone was amazing. And how can any guy not like a girl who can use a cigarette lighter with her feet?! LOL

I liked their relationship. At first they seemed like best friends, but then you obviously realize they are a couple. I did like the last story, too...thought it was funny, and how all the stories intertwined, but I would have loved to see a movie just of them two.

Ack, just realized that was a major run-on sentence. Oh, well! haha

It was the best segment of the three, and I agree that Youki Kudoh was amazing, but I liked the other two segments as well (though we could have probably done without the ghost of Elvis).
