and raiders of the lost ark was just called raiders of the lost ark. do you think the last crusade would have been the title of the 3rd indiana jones film ?

Raiders of the Lost Ark IS called just Raiders of the Lost Ark. Lucas' stupid revisionism doesn't change a thing. Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark is a bad title anyway. If one wants to follow titles of Indiana Jones 2 and 3, then it should be called Indiana Jones and The Lost Ark.

Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold would just have been called Lost City of Gold too. 😀
