I love Indy and all but while watching this one, I always get the feeling that Harrison Ford just seems bored with this one and doesn't show nearly the same amount of energy that he had in the first two. I mean most of the time it sounded like he was quietly whispering instead of actually talking in many scenes. He even seemed like he was in better shape in Crystal Skall than he was in Crusade.
I think he's just acting bored... Indy is frustrated having to rescue his estranged father on a grail quest; the very object his dad was obsessed with instead of doing normal dad things with Indy. Any son would be tired and frustrated! Plus his dad never seems impressed with any of Indy's heroics throughout the picture.
Near the end he is definitely more engrossed, as he and his dad start to reconnect emotionally.

I used to love the guy when i was little for his great roles...now i think he was a cranky crybaby the whole time
