Did anyone else like this film more when they became an adult ?.

I didn't really like this film much when I was a kid. However, I recently watched it again (I have watched it a lot actually lol ), and I like it more than I did when I watched it when I was a kid.

I did like it as a kid when it came on TV but I actually didn't own a copy of the movie until I bought it as an adult.

There's a moral to this story Del Boy but for the life of me I can't find it!

HEY, I DID. MAN I'M SURPRISED IM NOT THE ONLY ONE. I saw this movie when I was little and I didn't think it was that great but when I saw it as an adult, I thought it was a great movie. I think the reason why is because when I was in school, they would ask you to write stories in writing class or in Language Arts. A lot of people are not creative, but you know that to make this movie, someone had to come up with a story and write the events in the movie. You can really tell that whoever wrote movies like this have awesome talent and are creative. Also I took acting classes in Theater arts class and in that class you had to act. You see that not everyone has talent for acting just like not everybody has talent for drawing. So you see movies like this and you see that the actors do a very good job with their acting! Another movie I liked more as an Adult was La Bamba, and Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

I think at the time I didn't really give it a chance because this is what your parents brought back from the video store when in actual fact you wanted Robocop. It's good to be able to appreciate them eventually.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

My parents actually brought Robocop. I didn't even see this movie until it was aired on tv.

I loved it as a pre-teen. I think i would've find it too cheesy as an 8 year old. Now as a 21 year old I still think its awesome.

Showing off is the fools idea of glory

I really liked this movie as a kid but maybe more Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves since I had the VHS at the time. Now, I like both movies. The only one I didn't like much was Honey, I Blew up the Kid.

I watched this movie all the time as a kid. While I wouldn't necessarily say I like it more as an adult, I do think it still holds up.

I didn't really like this movie as a kid (grew up in the '90s and probably saw this in '92 at the earliest), thinking it was kind of hokey. But watched it a few months ago with roommates and LOVED it. Definitely noticed/appreciated dialogue that went over my head when I was a kid. So yeah, I appreciate it a lot more as an adult.

Same also goes for THE NEVERENDING STORY...

I was six when I first saw this, watched it on Netflix for the first time in fifteen years.

Wow, is all I can say. As an aspiring screenwriter, the whole movie flows so well (plot wise) I like how the family problems are addressed early on when Amy is on the phone. I also liked the scenes with Wayne and Diane too, especially in the third act. That scene where they sit on the porch talking about their life, hopes, dreams, even their marriage. There's real melancholy there, and it feels genuine (which means the filmmakers did a great job of making the story seem real)

I wish they had enough time to spend with Amy and Russ jr. but the actors did a great job of playing teens from different in-crowds. I liked how Russ was shy and nervous around Amy at first (even when he watched her dancing in the kitchen lol) But when you put the shy kid into a bizarre situation with the girl of his dreams, it's fun to watch him rise to the occassion and become the hero.

I mean let's face it, Russ jr. may've not had the makings of a varsity athlete but he was brave and dashing when he saved Nick (twice) saved Amy from drowning (twice) and saved his idiot brother from the scorpion (well, Anty did but Russ tried lol)

It was an interesting journey, not just for the kids, but the adults too!

I like this movie more as an adult as well.

I just finished watching this on Netflix, and I can honestly say that I've grown to appreciate this movie than I ever did as a kid. It's been more than 10 years since I have watched this film until today.

Loved it as a kid, love it even more now.

Appreciating certain movies and shows I grew up with more as an adult is something that's become common for me. Call it nostalgia but I genuinely enjoy so much of the stuff I watched as a Rugrat (speaking of...).
