Suitable for a 12 year old.

Would a 12 year old be able to watch it. What's it ontain and what are the violent scenes.

reply

UNSUTIABLE TO A KID WHO IS ONLY 12.

reply

Assuming he's now 17, I think he can handle this film. This film should not be allowed to kids imo.

saw it when I was 12 or 13 I guess. I didn't really have any strong reaction to the sexual aspect, I just knew that the guys did a terrible thing and the "good guy" stood up to his leadership for justice. I think it's okay for young teens to see

reply

I was so horrified and sickened at the brutality and inhumanity in this film I would not even let my 80 year old dad see it if he had the chance. Does ANYONE honestly think this is *entertainment*? To be entertained by the inconceivable excruciating pain of someone else is pathetically sick. I'm sorry my buddies in the military ever took me to see this thing. This movie and "Born on the Fourth of July" have sickened me for life.

This is a disturbing movie. Maybe it's even more disturbing to adults. I think the subject matter is just to mature for under 16 or so. Kids may wonder why the men were so horny that they all needed to rape an innocent girl. Stuff like that.

reply

Not unless your 12 year old has a varied and extensive knowledge of the stages of and historical evolution of the Vietnam War.
And has a similarly solid knowledge of sex.
So, no.

reply

Uh no, it's absolutely not a suitable film for a 12-year old to be able to handle, either emotionally or mentally IMO.
