MY FAVORITE JOKER...EASILY.
shareIt was Jack Nicholson playing Jack Nicholson in make up, not real acting.
shareI hear what you're saying, but maybe that's why they cast him. Because they knew he'd be good in the role.
shareyou get it
shareSure I get it. Jack just plays a different version of himself. I haven't seen all of his movies, but I don't know many different characters he can play. He did a great job at the Joker though. He was kinda like one of those crazy gangsters that Cagney played.
shareJack's Joker really seemed more creepy than downright scary. The only time that I really felt that he was "scary" as the Joker was the way that he treated (and what is insinuated) and acted around Jerry Hall's character after his transformation. I think that what really keeps him from being out and out scary is the sheer fact that he's given a full-blown backstory (unlike Heath Ledger's version) and alias (thus, essentially "humanizing" him) in Jack Napier.
Normally in the Batman mythos, we don't know anything about who the Joker really is and where he came from. I think that The Killing Joke was the first real attempt in the comics to give the man who would become the Joker an origin story.
You hate Jack Nicholson? That's stupid. Jack Nicholson is a great actor and frankly he played the Joker really well. I like Heath Ledger's Joker and the Dark Knight but I don't like the hate you and others have for the original movies.
shareI still like Caesar Romero
shareHe is my favorite at playing Joker. Ledger was great, too.
