Never Expected This

Who would have ever dreamed Sergio Martino would go from something like All the Colors of the Dark (1972), to this. It’s such an oddity, but very entertaining in the “so bad it’s good way.” It’s funny that Daniel Green still seems cyborg like here after mostly associating him with Hands of Steel (1986), which contained a much better cast. Fun film though, and highly recommend viewing while stoned.

I had to add one more thing. This film starts off really strong with lots of wtf moments but sputters around the 3/4 mark. Those who continue are treated to quite a spectacle at the finale.

Donald Pleseance playing a televangelist is executed on stage in front of thousands, and on television. Just as he dies, the devil in the form of a pig comes out of his body. This scene alone is worth the trouble of finding and watching this strange flick.

Still got this on Laserdisc...very oddball movie (but fun)

If you like Daniel Greene, you should check him out in Enzo G. Castellari's 'Hammerhead' (1987)

I haven’t seen it but I am a big Castellari fan, so I’m adding it to my watch list now.

Thank you for the recommendation!!

That must be one rare laserdisc you have in your possession. 😀

It was retitled 'AMERICAN TIGER' in the U.S.

Very cool. Do you still collect laserdisc?

I was scrolling through the cast and I noticed this is the only film the lead actress was ever credited for. I always wonder about that kind of situation, because she wasn’t bad here at all.

Still collect every format going (Beta/V2000/VHS/LD/VCD/DVD/BD/4K)

That’s great! We have a running post you might want contribute to.
