Sam's physical body switches places with his host who is then sent to the "Waiting Room". There's some kind of field surrounding him to make everyone see him as the host. This led to some interesting encounters. Such as when he played the legless guy and stood up. Personally, I think the best was when he beat the crap out of the rapist who was expecting a 90 lb. girl and not someone with 50 lbs. on him who had martial arts skills.
