Harpo, that's a good one too. Call says it after giving that scout for the army, a major beating. All the above are good lines. This movie is just full of great lines and good old fashioned values that men lived by and died for.
shareUh Harpo! Thats one of mine too!!!
. . . it's absolutely impossible to pick only one ...
there's just so much to choose from . . .
'I'll wack 'dat bell if I wan' to . . .'
Bol (Bolivar)
Gus: 'Go? I thought as long as we're in town we'd have us a meal and talk some philosophy . . .'
Woodrow: 'I don't know a philosophy.
. . "
(and that whole scene)
Gus talking to clerk buying gifts for women including a hand mirror:
'. . . Women like to see what they look like . . . ain't that right Woodrow?'
Woodrow rolling eyes and impatiently sitting down drawls:
'. . . I guess y'or the one that'd know about that ...'
So many...
Woodrow F. Call: " I reckon I'm as American as anyone from Tennessee."
? :)
Gus McCrae: I'll tell you what. You ride on up there, clear out the Indians, build a little cabin, get a nice fire goin' in the fireplace and me and Jake will gather a herd and then we'll come on up.
Woodrow Call: I'd like to see the herd that you and Jake could gather. Herd o' whores, maybe.
This one .
"A man that wouldn't cheat for a poke don't want one bad enough".
