I would love a spinoff of this

like what "Fuller House" is doing. I'm betting some of the actors would on board; however I imagine not all are quite there yet. I really would love for it to happen though!

I think Waldo would make a good spinoff character, he was very funny and likable. I also loved Perfect Strangers where Family Matters was spun off from, Larry and Balki were the best, my favorite 80s comedy.

I've seen the actors who played Carl and Harriet reunite in a Hallmark Channel movie as a married couple running a B&B, so for that reason I think they'd be willing to do it, and hopefully others would as well.

Cool, was it the original Harriet or the one who replaced her near the end?

reply

The original Harriet, JoMarie Payton :)

No, this show was terrible and should be erased from existence. We don't need another reminder it existed. That would be criminal.

I remember reading quite a while ago that the producers were planning to go for one more season and have Laura and Steve get married but the show was cancelled at the last minute because of low ratings, wonder how it would have turned out.

reply

I remember hearing that too. I must say I watched I think only one episode during its time on CBS, and it was the one where Steve and Laura got engaged. I would love to see a continuation. I'm surprised it hasn't been looked into yet.

reply

You're right, or another reason they actually cancelled it because JoMarie Payton gave up. I'd love to re-watch all episodes, but I can't find any english subtitle except all from season one.

Actually, JoMarie Peyton has said that they're prepared to do it if only they get a script to work with.
