This would never happen today. With all the sexual innuendo, babies smoking cigars, etc that are in it?

But even if it was 30 years ago, it still amazes me that it got away with the content.

MPAA was slightly more liberal then. Another good example is Big (1988) with Tom Hanks. In it there are 4 shlts, 1 f@ck, and a sex scene between an adult woman and a character who is 13, just in an adult's body. It was also PG.

Better question...how did anchorman:the legend of Ron burgundy get a PG13? The word fuck issaid six times in under 5 minutes...

It's not surprising. Beetlejuice got a PG despite having both an f bomb and sexual content. The PG-13 did exist when this came out but was scarcely used.
