Not scary at all

Well, Petraux was kind of scary. I wouldn't want to encounter anyone like him in real life. But other than that I didn't find it all that scary. That being said, very few movies are able to scare me. I don't watch horror to be scared. I watch it to be told a good story and I think this movie's story was alright.

Though I found it very creepy with a tense atmosphere. His hallucinations and torture of course are some of the most intense scenes in the movie.

Peytraude was scarier and evil and wicked. More than Freddy Krueger.

Peytraude would literally terrorize you in your dreams and bury you even when literally physically burying you in your grave. That and getting you drugged up to be a catotonic zombie. Plus hes got that secret police force that'll arrest for you for anything
