I know it's a very dumb question to ask but why? She could had just ran away from him or put up a fight instead of him "eating" her. Btw, I know it's nasty for me to say but the scene was kinda a little arousing since Brenda was moaning when he started to do that

Just watched this film now and thought the same thing.
I guess it's like in romantic vampire stories where they let someone suck their necks out of lust or "love"... except here it's with that gruesome twist that makes it pretty far from sexual (though those sounds and especially her face made it a bit hard not to get a little turned on). I'm guessing that's the joke; she's doing the same damn thing as any of those women in gothic stories except it's not as romanticized & instead prompts you to flinch.
Unless it's strictly paying homage to the gothic trope and I'm giving it too much credit - or alternatively, if they really just wrote her character to be that dimwitted. It's very possible. But I took it as a mildly clever satirical stab at our way of glamourizing everything.

Also, since Mathews(along with Karen) is basically playing the same character as he did in the first movie and Freddy didn't ever get to eat Tina's brains in that one, this was his "second chance". ;D
