Cockroach kill is the best in the whole series

A lesser movie would've *just* had her crushed by the bench press, or *just* had her transform into a cockroach... but this one has her limbs crushed by the bench press, replaced those limbs with roach arms, has her get trapped in some sticky substance, has her pull an entire cockroach body from her old self while trying to pull herself away from said sticky substance, has us discover she's been trapped in a giant "Roach Motel," and finally has Freddy crush her with his bare hands.

And while all this is going on, Alice and Dan are trying to reach her but have been caught up in a time loop. This whole sequence kicks ass!

You aren't wrong. The half cockroach look is actually the actress' imdb picture. That's how awesome it is. We are SO lucky that they hired up and coming Renny Harlin to direct the movie just because he was cheap and the studio didn't want to spend any damn money (that's why Patricia Arquette isn't in the movie; she asked for a couple of dollars more, so New Line told her to screw off. I really like Tuesday Knight though, and her intro song is fantastic). Renny is a weird Finnish dude, and his touches are sprinkled all over the movie, like the cyberpunk robot arm and the soul food pizza.

The cockroach kill is probably my favorite in the series, but it needed a better one liner. Absolutely AMAZING practical effects though, and the creepiest I've ever felt watching the series. The "let's get high" heroin needles for fingers kill is my other favorite. The "welcome to primetime, bitch" tv kill is right behind those two.

And yes, the time loop is an underrated awesome aspect of the movie, another one of Harlin's touches.
