I do not think that Pell deserve the beating in the barbershop. Do you agree with me that Pell did not deserve the beating in the barbershop?

Pell's beating in the barber shop didn't service an investigatory purpose, it was pure retribution by Hackman's character and probably mostly for the beating Pell dished out to his wife, whom Hackman's character had grown fond of.
