I am probably not the only person who thinks this, but while I try to not IMDb ratings to heart, why isn't the rating higher for this film? It is a truly charming and poignant movie, and is for me one of Don Bluth's best. Not to mention beautiful animation, wonderful music, a heart warming story and likeable characters, especially Ducky.
Anyone else feel the same?

Oh please, take your Pixar bashing elsewhere. You wouldn't know quality even if it smacked you in the face. This movie is actually the first animated film I ever saw. So there is some nostalgia there. It was shown to us in school. But Pixar movies are better than this any day both in terms of their messages and entertainment value.

I would say a 7 rating is nothing to scoff at. Only exceptional movies tend to get a rating of 8 and above on IMDB and this movie is nothing exceptional.
