I didn't know either :( As I grow older the melancholy music in the film got to me, and now I can't listen to or think of the song at the end comfortably (though I love the music at the beginning). Now there's this tragic connection to it that I never knew, and I've been watching this since..the year after she died when I was five. When I found out, just a month ago, I was down for a good while.

I had no idea. So so sad :[ She was an amazing talent and must have suffered so much at home.

I read about this a few years ago and was quite shocked. I'm glad I didn't find out about this as a kid.

I was really bummed out when I found out Heather O'Rourke died of sickness at 12, but this is just absolutely devastating.

It was a truly unthinkable tragedy. So sad that her life was cut so short by that psycho bastard of a father she had.
