Are the Cenobites good or bad?

I saw this movie when I was seven (and it still freaks me out as an adult), but I can't figure out if the Cenobites are good or bad. You see, I only saw Hellraiser II, but none of the others, because people said they weren't up to par with the first two Hellraisers. I remember at one point in this movie, the Cenobites had to fight another Cenobite who was twice as strong as them in an attempt to protect Kristy and that mute girl who couldn't talk, but just play puzzles.

Were the Cenobites trying to protect the other girls? And why were they fighting that Channard Cenobite for? Why was Channard after that mute girl also? If anyone knows, please post.

I think it would be like using Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The box was like the Golden Ticket to go inside the Chocolate Factory. This would be wonderful to those that love chocolate, and may be interesting to someone that likes chocolate or has always wanted to try chocolate. If you have someone that hates chocolate, is allergic, or finds it unhealthy then they would not want to go inside the Factory.

Try convincing Wonka that anyone wouldn't have a good time in his factory and he would try to convince you otherwise.

When the Cenobites regain their souls it would be like if they gave up their desires or chocolate addiction and wanted to help others eat healthy.
