Loved Hellraiser I and II. Should I keep going?

This year, I'm reviewing my 31 favorite horror movie sequels every day of October. And of course, I'm including Hellbound: Hellraiser II. Full review here: http://myvinylmuse.com/horror-sequel-marathon-hellbound-hellraiser-ii-1988/

And I only recently watched the first two movies while I was doing this horror movie marathon. I wanted to know if I should keep watching more sequels or stop at Hellbound?

You might as well. Theyre all on Netflix currently. They will at least make you appreciate the first two more.

#3 gets a lot cheesier and turns into more of a slasher movie, but it still has a lot of good elements. #4 is decent, but goes in a much different direction than the others.

All of them after #4 are random horror movies that had Hellraiser elements thrown in at the end. It works ok in some of them, but they are certainly not anywhere near the first movies.

Personally, I enjoyed watching all of them. I wouldnt bother with the last one though. Most of the others made some attempt, but Revelations was a pretty horrible movie. Even Doug Bradley skipped playing Pinhead in this one, after putting up wiht all of the other cheesy sequels.

Yes, they have such sights to show you

Hellrasier III: Hell on Earth is bad, but entertaining and fun to watch.

I also really enjoyed Hellraiser: Inferno.

Outside of those two, most of the sequels are worth skipping.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Hellraiser III has some cheesy acting, but it gives some background on Pinhead.

Hellraiser IV (aka Hellraiser: Bloodline) is terrific. Its my favorite film of the series, in fact!
Gives the background of The Puzzle Box. Also has a terrific new Cenobite character named Angelique.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

I watched the first three and thought ‘let’s not spoil this’, tried to forget III, and now only watch I and II.

I is a special horror film, II is just about a worthy follow-up. It loses serious points for not featuring Kirsty’s dad because the respectable actor didn’t return, but regains some points for having some incredibly imaginative imagery, practical effects, and stomach churning gore.
