And I only recently watched the first two movies while I was doing this horror movie marathon. I wanted to know if I should keep watching more sequels or stop at Hellbound?
They're all pretty much downhill from there
shareI'd definitely say 3 is worth watching though you'll see a dramatic change in tone and feel. Despite the generally bad reviews I also think 4 is worth seeing too but I certainly wouldn't go any further than that. The rest aren't even Hellraiser films. They're just films Dimension didn't know how to sell so they stuck Pinhead into the scripts to turn them into Hellraiser films. To be honest they're all pretty weak and forgettable.

shareThey made that one in a very short time frame as a way to retain the rights to the franchise. It doesnt excuse it from being a horrible movie, but I guess its better than it being a legitimate attempt to make a good Hellraiser movie.

The third film is kind of a fun and cheesy movie with a drastically different tone from the first two, more like a slasher film. And the fourth one isn't too bad either. They can't compare to the original and its first sequel though, those were masterpieces. All the rest after that just plain sucked.
