I LOVE this movie. Anyone else agree?
I've seen it 4-5 times, it never gets old. Whenever I'm bored I put it on. Just wanted to see if anyone else can't seem to get enough as well.

shareI think any one who loves Hitchcok and Harrison Ford aught to appreciate this film. There are some people that actually really dislike this film. I just don't get it at all. Polanski's idiotic personal decisions I think have been a drag on the reputation of many of his films since the 70's. The Ninth Gate is another example, as is Death and the Maiden. It became "cool" again in some circles to like Polanski after The Pianist. I don't go in for following fashion myself. I have always thought most of his films were superior entertainments.
shareI've got it on DVD, I'd only seen it once before but I just watched it again tonight, really nice movie. It's just very enjoyable to watch when you're bored alone or something, good movie IMO. Seen it twice now, looking forward to a third viewing sometime in the future. =)
shareI agree great slice of 80's
shareYeah, this movie's awesome! It's really good! I think this is his second best movie after Indiana Jones! I loved all the twists, and how the plot slowly unfolded! I like those kinds of movies where the plot unfolds slowly! And the acting was perfect! Harrison Ford and Emmanuelle Seigner were amazing! I really loved Michelle's character! I think I saw this movie a few years ago, then I wacthed it again a few weeks ago, and I really liked it. It was on again a few days ago, so I recorded it to my DVR and I just watched it again! I love this movie!
shareYou sound like me, briantravelman.I watch this movie everytime it comes on and yet I don't get bored with it.
shareBrilliant film. I actually really like the ending, it has a kind of understatedness I find more realistic than the usual slam-bang ending - not that I don't enjoy those in many films, but this movie feels quite real throughout - it's a travel anxiety nightmare brought to life.

Reason is a pursuit, not a conclusion.
This film has had a hold on me ever since I saw it for the first time years ago. One of those movies that stick with you and remain in your consciousness after you watch it.
Polanski really captures an atmosphere that makes it feel distinct and mysterious. Blade Runner and Outland are two other films that I can name off the top of my head that have a similar feel to me. Outland wasn't a great film, but all three are movies I want to revisit over and over just to feel immersed in the vibe each puts off.
I'm also a little disappointed to see the 6.8 rating, but this just adds to the fact that "Frantic" is an underrated gem which dwells just outside of the public consciousness. Ennio Morricone is a musical genius, and his themes add another distinctive layer to a very unique film.

I was wary because of the low rating here, but I loved this movie!
It was darkly comic, in an absurdist way, exciting, fast-paced and very plausible in many of the plot points: a mix up with baggage at the airport; suddenly meeting friends at airports at the worst of times, etc.
I thought it was a solid thriller, with great music, with great locations.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

Yes I like it too. But I don't like that the french girl gets shot at the end.
shareI just watched this film recently after seeing it years ago. Funnily enough I've been watching a lot of Hitchcock films and when I started viewing Frantic again it became obvious where Polanski got his inspiration from. There is a terrific Hitchcock feel to this film. The man in trouble, being pursued and facing danger at ever turn. The atmosphere, the setting and pacing of this film are all marvelous. Fords inspired acting adds a sense of realism to the proceedings as well.
All in all, a great thriller which still holds up today.
