They didn't need Takagi at all

After they kill Takagi, Hans and Theo walk to the vault and Theo says it'll take thirty minutes to break the code. THIRTY minutes. Not really worth the effort for Hans to go through the crowd to find Takagi, take him up the elevator, stroll around chatting about models and then do the whole intimidation and killing thing. If Theo had gone straight to the vault when they arrived and started working, Takagi telling them the password might have saved him about 15 minutes.

Hans just wanted to shoot someone. He's a terrorist, he loves killing.

reply

I thought he was a thief?

reply

He’s an exceptional thief who has moved up to kidnapping. You should be more polite!

reply

He was after those bonds in the vault, and then he was dropped out of a window. He didn't kidnap anyone.

reply

Small writing error, should have been changed to an hour. Nice catch.

The scene IS needed to show Hans taste in suits and his ability to kill in cold blood.

reply

You have completely forgotten about the last lock that couldn't be cracked and required the FBI to cut the power to open the vault.

reply

That would have had to happen anyway. Takagi tells them that the code would have only opened one of the locks. The electro magnetic seal would have been a problem no matter what.
