I constantly see this movie on the front page almost every day ...

what the heck is there to talk about this old, cliche, and just a simple action movie any more ... it's over 30 years old, and though it has a place in the culture with the yippee-kay-yea trope, it's not a classic by any means. Do trolls get paid to keep this in the forefront of people's minds or is there actually still things to say about this B movie?

The movie is cliche because all the subsequent movies copied it. This movie is what created the cliche.

I thought the movie was entertaining as a kid ... but nothing special, and certainly not today.

Well, yes, it has been repeated and improved since. its still pretty entertaining for a relaxing saturday evening.
