How did a movie like this get acclaimed actors like Brad Dourif and Chris Sarandon?

shareSarandon worked with the same director on Fright Night, and Dourif will do any old shite. He was in Critters 4 FFS, Child’s Play is a prestige project by comparison.
Also, neither actor is exactly royalty, they’re B actors at best, hungry for work in films that are likely to capture an audience, as Child’s Play did.
