Was it my imagination, or did Alec Baldwin seem like he was photo-bombing every single scene he was in?

Like, don't worry Alec Baldwin, you're the main character you will get your screen time! He just seemed to bombard every set like a photo bomb! Well he was, wasn't he?

Camera-mugging.

What astounds me is how he was such a different person back then. He hadn't turned into an egotistical nutjob yet. It's weird, seeing a young version of him, looking wholesome and innocent like that.

In Working Girl, also 1988, he looks very smug and you just want to punch him. But he's likeable in this.

It makes you wonder how much of that "wide-eyed, sweet rural guy" behavior was an act. He really had us fooled when he played Jack Ryan in "Hunt for Red October" too. He seemed on track for some serious, likeable Hollywood roles. Then he fell off the radar and became a total joke.
