shareWhat astounds me is how he was such a different person back then. He hadn't turned into an egotistical nutjob yet. It's weird, seeing a young version of him, looking wholesome and innocent like that.
shareIn Working Girl, also 1988, he looks very smug and you just want to punch him. But he's likeable in this.
shareIt makes you wonder how much of that "wide-eyed, sweet rural guy" behavior was an act. He really had us fooled when he played Jack Ryan in "Hunt for Red October" too. He seemed on track for some serious, likeable Hollywood roles. Then he fell off the radar and became a total joke.
